We do not ask you to register, we do not collect your name or email, and we do not sell anything about you. This page explains the little that is collected and why.

What we collect
Oohunt has no accounts, no newsletter, and nowhere to enter anything about yourself. There is no form on this site that asks for an email address or anything else, so we hold no personal details at all — not your name, not your address, not your payment details, and not your email.
What we do record:
- Outbound clicks. When you follow a link to Amazon we log the product identifier, the time, which page you clicked from, and the referring page. This tells us which products people find useful. It is not tied to you.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records requests, which includes IP addresses, for security and reliability. These are retained on their normal schedule and we do not analyse them.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run analytics that profile individual visitors across sessions.
Cookies
Oohuntsets no tracking cookies. Your theme choice, light or dark, and your colour preference are stored in your browser’s local storage so the site looks the same when you return. That data never leaves your device and is not readable by us.
When you click through to Amazon
Links to Amazon carry an affiliate identifier so Amazon can attribute a sale to us. Once you land on Amazon, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not ours. Amazon will set its own cookies and collect its own data according to its terms. We receive only aggregate commission reporting from Amazon; we never see who you are, what you looked at, or what you bought.
Product images are served from Amazon’s content delivery network, which means your browser makes a request to Amazon when a page loads.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful basis for the click logging described above is legitimate interest: understanding which products are useful so the site can be improved. The data is not personal data in any form we can link back to an individual.
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold no identifying information, in practice there will be nothing to return, but the request is welcome and we will say so honestly.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
